Grand Opening of BCLC

A week ago, May 20th 2013, there was an event. A big event for me, for all staffs, managers, and everyone who has participated on that event. It was a GRAND OPENING OF BCLC UNTAN!! Cool~

So, what is BCLC?? BCLC stands for British Culture and Learning Centre. It is a realization from the compromy and MoU between Untan and British Council. BCLC provides many things to help every one (students, civil cervants, private employees and public) to learn about English and especially about BritishEnglish and its culture. BCLC is also a learning centre which provides varieties of information servces and resources for learners and teachers of English. BCLC supports these groups to enhance their educational and professional skills with E- resources such as English Language CD-ROMs, varieties of useful websites and applications. BCLC also has many facilities for individually learning such as a self access room and its 30 units of computer, library which is full of more than a thousand books, training room, and theatre room which has capacity more than 70 people.

It’s expected that BCLC can help learners and teachers of English improve their quality of learning and teaching English. It because of BCLC has been supporting them by providing many useful books and applications.

BCLC is led by Ms. Dewi Novita M.app. Ling. It also consists of 4 divisions which has a manager for each division.

1.      Mr. Zainal Arifin M.A as Language Service division manager

This division provides many training for students and teacher.

2.      Ms. Eni Rosnijah S.pd M.hum as Language and Art division manager

This division focuses on Language and art. Therefore it has many acivities such dances, drama, music, photograph, etc.

3.      Ms. Dwi Riyanti M.A TESOL as Self Access division manager

This division has responsibility for every learning materials in BCLC.

4.      Ms. Surmiyati M.A as Test division manager.

This division provides TOEFL, IELTS, and International test. So, for everyone who wants to have certification of these kind of test he or she doesn’t need to go to Jakarta to get it. He or she just go to BCLC and get the certification (after passing the test exactly)

Well, BCLC has been opened for public. Everyone can come and joint with us. So, there is no reason for every one to not get this experience.

The last, BCLC is preparing 2 big events now.

First, seminar of England schoolarship which will be held on June 22, 2013.

Second, charity night which will be held (InshaAllah) on October 2013.
